2004 Ford Taurus trunk space

Gen 3 and 4 Taurus have a 6x8 in each front door,2 6x8's in the rear deck plus a 6x9 cutout in the middle where the sub would go if you have the preminum package.

If you unscrew the fusebox under the drivers side dash you can find a grommet to remove so you can run 0 awg through, then just run it to the trunk. This is only true for floor shift models, if you have the steering wheel shifter then I think you can run the wire through a grommet thats located in middle of the car directly under the dash by the floor.

Now im just worried about how 15" will sound in there. Being completely sealed up (besides the 3 speaker holes) will probably hurt volume a lot

Mine is still loud. I don't have many other cars to compare it to around here though, nobody has anything near as loud as mine

I'll probably remove the deck speakers (theres a third one cutout already, ill just remove the insulation) for the airflow i need. In my bonneville i only had 3 holes for air to go through anyways
