Me and a friend went to a local audio shop yesterday and listened to some subs. I'm going to get a dual 12" slot port box loaded with Kicker subs. For now I will be running them off my two channel amp until I get the money to buy two 500 watt subwoofer amps.

I got the subs yesterday. They are a lot louder. I do believe that I will keep my current amp though. Pictures to folow sometime this month.

go with the p8002 it will run 1000 watts mono 4 ohm rms no problem.

i have 1 runnin 2 IXL 10's ported and it will turn 140 db but it draws

alot of juice.

u can find them on ebay alot cheaper that fosgate's price

couple of hundred or less.

I just traded in my P400-4 for $300.00 towards the purchase of a P500-1. I pick the amp up Monday afternoon. I'm not looking so much for DB as I am SQ although it is nice to have a system that will play balanced and by the turn of a knob beat pretty hard.

I got the Rockford Fosgate P500-2 amp yesterday and it definitely sounds better. I also do not have to go in my subwoofer box and change any of the speaker wiring as it will do 500 watts into 4 ohms and the speakers are wired to produce a 4 ohm impedance.

Wanted to go with the Infinity Perfect series speakers for my front door speakers. My current Infinity speakers are 2 ohms and the perfects are 4 ohms. I see that will drop my available power to the front door speakers so those may not be a good idea unless I buy two pairs and parallel them at the amp. I would then have two channels of my four channel amp free for possibly driving two of my current Infinity speakers which would be mounted near the subs since I like to sit in the back of my CRV and listen to my system sometimes. If I do that how will it affect the sound or is it not even worth my time to try it.
