So I'm a newbie to CA.com and I like to build Ipad mini dashes, not just for myself but some other people (i will post some other build other than just my vehicle.) i don't use any kits and i do all the build by hand.
*disclaimer* these are not all the same dashes, actually 3 different ones as i dont have pics of just one build, but it is the same process
and the one being built is for a personal friend.
1. making a mold of the ipad mini. i make mine out of fiberglass and body filler to come out with a good result.

2. i cut up the dash to allow the ipad mini to fit inside

3. the mold is CA glued and epoxy reinforced and then body filled and sanded.

*The red dash that i was using was from a personal friend that owns a 2003 gmc sierra and it was painted black with vinyl paint and then underneath there were several layers of red paint. i tried to sand off the paint but it was caked on and very hard to get every nook and cranny. so i got a new dash and took the mold and cut up the new dash and transferred it over.* this one is still being worked on

4. finally, paint (this is what the final result will be, this dash is mine in my 2007 silverado classic) also i put a nice piece of suede for the ipad mini to rest on.

hope you guys enjoyed this build, and hope to get good feedback!
