2002 Silverado Battery Connection

Does the cable need to be directly connected to the battery or can it be connected to the fuse box lead that is directly connected to the battery??

way back in the day of smaller amps, you could run the wire into the fuse box. but now just run the power wire with an inline fuse to the positive battery terminal.

Yeah, just because power runs through something doesnt mean it can support the power draw. Thats almost like asking if you should connect it to your + on your taillights. Just connect it to the battery.
