2002 Kicker L5 vs 2005 Kicker L5

The 05's are going to get louder off of 800w.

I mean, if the 06 L5 is the 05 L7, it's going to take more than 800w to get crazy.

if you get the 05's your gonna wish that you just went ahead and spent the extra $130 on the 06 L7's. might as well go all out if you want loud imo. i was like that but your never satisfied.

nah, im just gonna go with the L5s. I'm only 16 and dont have a whole lot of extra money to spend. So I guess im gonna go with the 2005 L5s. Now I just gotta figure out the best box size for them. I'm going more for SPL than SQ but I still want it to sound good. I've never built a ported box, and it seems pretty complicated so it will most likely be a sealed box for the L5s.

its not complicated really at all, just get someone to design some plans,then cut and put together

dont you have to tune a ported box to a certain frequency? I have no idea what frequency most of my music is. I listen to mostly rap and hip hop. Who would I need to talk to, to get a box design made out for me? Also what is a good size for a ported box for the two L5s?

your looking at atleast6.5-7 cubes, thats atleast

i would say anywhere from 32-35 hz is good for rap

1994 honda accord. After looking at those box designs it looks pretty difficult. lol What do you the would be the decibel difference between a sealed and ported?

your not getting a 8 cube box in the back of an accord

may i suggest 12s instead, 2 12s ported> 2 15s sealed

L7s love ported boxes from what i heard, should be a good increase form sealed to ported

I've got 8 cu ft in the back now. Its actually two seaparate 4 cu ft boxes but it looks like 1.
