This weekend I had a few hours so I began to build the enclosure for the woofers. I failed to remember to take pictures of the entire build, but I took a few. I haven't had time to carpet it yet, but before I do, I'll snap some pictures of everything else.
Here were the plans for the box:
I'd like to thank IonSQL and JBLCAMARY for the drawings and plans.
I know, this was a poor excuse for an update, but its progress.
Also, word of advice, buy a Jasper Jig. They are quite amazing.
Once again I forgot to update this thread. In the past month I’ve been working nonstop trying to finish this project up before I go back to college. I’ll continue to update this thread as more progress is made.
On to some pictures though… First the finished enclosure photos:
I’m not sure what happened to my front shot of the box, but whatever.
The next few photos are going to be of the new headunit. I chose a Pioneer Premier DEH-800PRS. I wanted something that had active capabilities and I’ve never had a problem with my past few Pioneers so it was a prime choice.
Next are a few pictures of the mids mounted in the doors. I need to finish deadening the doors completely, but I was in a hurry to get these in. I’ve got some clay and another 25 sq ft. of deadener I need to lay down, but this will do for not.
Finally we have this past weeks project… the a pillars. I wanted to mount the tweeters in the a pillar, but didn’t like the look of the flush mount. I decided to try my hand at fiberglass and overall it is coming together fairly well. Considering this is my first time working with glass, I think it will come out pretty good.
I still need to finish sanding and filling the a pillars but they are coming together.
