I wouldn't trade the 2500D for anything.

I'm just hoping my electrical system can hang with everything.

I know its been a while since I’ve had a chance to update this, but now that we’re well into the summer, I’ve had plenty of time to do some work.

To recap, this is was my last update:

I was beginning to put the interior back together after deadening the entire thing with RAAMmat.

Below are a few updates from this week:

1/0 for power and four runs of 12gauge for my tweeters and mids. In the picture you only see three runs, but that was only because I took the time to snap the picture before getting the forth run finished.

Next I started fabrication for an false floor. I used a 2x8 for the rear and a 2x4 for the sides. This will then be hinged with the top and allow me to access the amps and any fuses. Here is how I did it:

UPS dropped this off last night as well…

I’d heard some much about Second Skin I wanted to give it a try. I needed something for behind the mids so I picked up Second Skins Tweaker Kit. It included two sheets of Damplifier and two back wave canceling discs.

Tonight I have another order coming in from Knu Konceptz so I will throw those pictures up when I get home.

I purchased their sample card originally, and then matched them to my factory carpet. I found a perfect match. I would not recommend this carpet for the subwoofer box though, it is way too thick and doesn't stretch worth anything.

Today I had the opportunity to build the amp rack for the Orion 2500D and 8004. The two distribution blocks are also mounted on the rack. Here is how it went down:

I used stainless steel 10-24 and 8-32 t-nuts and hardware.

All of the cables will come up from beneath the false floor, so I used plastic snap in grommets.
