2001 Civic EX Infinity/Cadence/JVC

This is my first system. The headunit is the JVC KDHDR-1. The Midbass are Infinity Kappa 60.9cs in the front mounted in the stock locations and the rears are infinity 692.9i's. They are run off a cadence 4 channel Txa300.4 Amp, 150 x4 @ 2 ohms. My subs are 2 12 inch infinity perfects in a sealed box, these are the older infinities not the newest ones, 300 RMS each. I have a mono class D amp also from cadence that is cadence 750d. 600 RMS x 1. I have a scosche 0 gauge all copper wiring, not that metal coated stuff into my d/b and then 4 gauge from there. I also have the trunk fat matted. My brother has a 12 inch kicker comp. Its the 2 ohm version. He is pushing 150 RMS to each voice coil and it sounds louder outside the car than my stuff does? I mean mine is loud, it shakes my interior mirror, but not the outsides. Does the fatmat really work that good, and make that big of a difference. Anyway I was thinking about trying to get a ported box for making them louder, any ideas on that.

ported would more than likely make it louder(i say more than likely becasue there are some people who are pro sealed box and get all mad), especially if done correctly. Also alot of things can depend on how loud a car is from the outside (which way the sub fires, it kind of car, where the ports are fireing, etc)

Is it good to be louder on the outside? Maybe ill post a vid of it and get some opinions?

i personally try not to be too loud on the outside.... for a few reasons:

1. loud outside can easily lead to loud rattleing

2. the more sound staying in the car the louder it will be in the car

3. easier to not get pulled over

but there are actualy comps that are called "drive by" that measure the DB outside of the car...

Ill be ****, I guess if you want to get attention that would be cool, but IDK. My brother has a buick with a big trunk, that could be why it sounds louder on the outside as well.
