2000 Jetta: Subs/Amp

This is for a 2000 VW Jetta GLS 1.8T

I'm planning on upgrading my system.

The sub woofers I have decided on getting are two Alpine Type-R's 4 OHM (Alpine SWR-1042D). They run at 500w RMS each.

I am looking for a very reliable amplifier to power these subs but I don't know what I'm looking for. Am I looking for a mono block 1000w RMS amp?

Also for my car what would be the best type of box to get for it. Sealed/Ported/Bandpass?

I'm looking for nice accurate bass but also want it to be deep.

I will be getting a component speaker system also

Speakers: Alpine SPR-17S

Amplifier for speakers: Alpine PDX-4.100

Any information or reccomendations would be appreciated.
