I need a 2000-2500 rms for around 500 or less ive been looking at the AQ 2200D but im hearing it takes a ton of power is there anything better out there?

AQ2200 doesn't take a ton of power.. It's actually pretty electrical friendly for what it is.

Step up your price a bit and play with the big boys. Look at the SounDigital 2500.1D or even the 1800.1D. They deliver rated power at 12.6 volts and much more at higher voltages. They are built like tanks and are very stable.

from what ive heard american bass is good
