$200 amps

I have a AP1500 thats barely used but it just seems overrated and not very clean. Ive been using a Megaloud AB 600w at 2ohms, its much better than the AP at 2ohms.

Now Im looking for around 1200w at 1ohm. The Hifonics Brutus 1200 and 1600 seem to be a decent amps but would there be a big difference between the Hifonic and the AP?

AQ1200 seems to be very popular on this site, think its about $260. Is the AQ alot better than the Hifonic?

Am I even going to get a noticably better amp than the AP for a "budget amp"?

doubt the hifonics will be noticeably different than the AP. I've had a Brutus never an AP. Didnt care for the Brutus, couldnt see myself buyin an AP either

the brutus will be diff because the its more efficent & cleaner power then then the ap. however the ap's do what they are rated. you justhave to have the juice to keep the power clean. the Aq1200 is the best choice out of the amps that you names

the brutus will be diff because the its more efficent & cleaner power then then the ap. however the ap's do what they are rated. you justhave to have the juice to keep the power clean. the Aq1200 is the best choice out of the amps that you names

I will say that the AQ will do rated power, and it will be clean which is more then I can say from some of the other amps listed that I have personally tested.

In all reality I think you are wasting your funds a bit. Unless you plan on upgrading other items and picking up something like the AQ2200 then I wouldn't worry about it.

Your confusing me.

Im looking to run 2-10s or maybe 1- 12 @ 1ohm getting 1000-1200 real watts in a 01 maxima with stock electrical other than "big 3"

So I should stick with the AP.
