200 amp alternator, 2 optima's, Now Cap?

I've been browsing the board for a few weeks now and am finally posting for the first time. I have some questions about my electrical system. Currently I am running all Crossfire amps: VR1000D, VR302, VR404. Here is a link to a full description of my system and pics: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2327549/2

I know the combination of amps is pulling less than 150 amps at max pull since it isn't blowing fuses. I'm not sure exactly how much though. Is there any way to check this? I've upgraded to a 200amp alternator, have 2 optima red tops, and 1/0 awg wiring for the big three. Here's a link to my big three upgrade if you care to look: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2327549/3

My question is are there any other steps I should take in order to improve the electrical. I was considering a cap but many on this site seem to HATE them. I'm curious if it would be of any benefit to me, since I already have a extra battery in the trunk and power is close to my amps. If it would be benefit, how many farad and how would you wire it? Any other suggestions are welcomed as well. I'm just trying to make sure I'm using everything to full potential. Thanks.

im going to guess your not very happy with the system?

A cap when used properly can be effective, you have a second battery already, which is good. Adding a cap may help reduce any voltage spikes, this allows the amplifiers power supply to operate more efficiently and improve SQ.

EVERY AMP has some amount of caps built into them - they keep the power supply voltage from excessive voltage spikes. Also note that most are now where near 1F inside an amp total and you are better off using several smaller caps then one gigantic one.

I am actually very happy with my system. My install went well considering it was the first time I have every done it and everything sounds great. I just have so much invested already, I want to make sure there isn't something else that I'm leaving out that I should have.

If you aren't having any problems, be proud of yourself and call it a day. Don't add more stuff just for the sake of adding it. You don't NEED a cap. You won't see or hear a benefit from adding one. Save your money and time.
You basically regurgitated what i said

Swing on over and i'll take a look see to see if everything is peforming its best

Actually, i just want to hear it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

And for the record, I still highly recommend against installing a capacitor as a bandaid for a hurting electrical system. Though in this case, I believe they can help. As I always say, when used properly, they do serve a purpose.

If anything, get a batcapIf you are going to get one, get a good one
I never got into the batcaps. I assume it's a battery and capacitro together???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
