Well for starters your DUMB...He can power both subs off the bx1500 and not worry about the electical system for the most part....later down the road yes a ho alt would be ideal, but your making it seem like he is gonna be running 10,000 watts....if you want ask ss3079 about his power acoutic 2400 run off his STOCK electical system...and its only got a 60 amp alt...THANKS...

i'm running 1400w off a stock 70A...never drops below 12.5V...

audioholic...let me make this clear for you...500 each is fine in a truck in a sealed enclosure, but its ideal to give them thier rated rms...take into mind he may already have the bx1500 so he can keep it and use it...Its not really going to matter either way if he goes 12s or 15, because its gonna be very very very loud that simple......just depends overall what he wants...its basically a matter of opinion...some people would only run 600 to a re sx although its rated at 1000rms...me I would run 1200-1500 to it, because thats just me...Its better to over power a sub between the rms and max....

I wont get into the overpowering debate with you, because Ive found there are too many misconceptions floating around about it, and some people just dont want to otherwise.

But in any event, a small sealed enclosure is where you would need the most power, as it would be the least efficint box type possible. Im not sure what the vehicle type has to do with what power range to run. Im aware a small truck cab has less air to compress, but this doesn't change the fact that you want to set up your system to maximize your components. If the guy is only going to feed his subs 500 watts, he should be looking at other subs besides the XXX, be it in a suburban or regular cab mini truck.
