2 way alarm?

well glassbreak is probaly one of the most imprtant ones right? What all will the shock sensor detect, from what I see its the only thing that detects entry and sets the alarm off.

Does the Compustar 2WSS-AS really have a 6,000 foot range? Thats amazing if true.
Please tell em it does so I can get one : )
No. I don't know where they get those numbers. Maybe out in the desert? When you take into account RF interference, buildings, antenna placement, if the remote is attached to a keychain, etc. You'll never get that range. In fact, I think all remote start alarms are overrated like that though.

That alarm however does have amazing range though. Much farther than most alarms. More realistic range would be roughly 1000 to 1800 ft. or something like that. I've started my car from ~300-400 yards away no problem. An open area, in direct line of sight, with little interference will get you better range of course.

Also, antenna placement makes a difference. I had to reposition my antenna, because of my limo tint strip on my windshield. If you have window tint that's metallic, it can affect the range also.

I wouldnt say glassbreak is the most important. The shock sensor is arguably the most important just because its the only sensor that is the closest to a "sense/do-all" sensor, while all the others have a specific task. If you have a dual stage shock sensor and you tap (w/force) the window, the alarm SHOULD go off so I would imagine if you break it, it ALSO should go off.

Read up on what each sensor does and then think about what is really needed as some of these sensors over-lap each other and render some wasteful, IMHO. I mean why spend 50 bucks on a sensor that will only do one thing when another sensor covers its job as well as another.

its website* and, Compustar is nice i loved mine, but at the same time i hated it. The senors were ok, but with compustar there is no room for addons, like glassbreak or tilt, or automated window sensors.
What are you talking about? You can add a tilt sensor, glassbreakage sensor, mag switches, add power window mod, hook up 6 different aux, more if you have a channel expander, rps, siren, dual shock sensors, remotestart or alarm or both, man tranmission capable, you can do anything with them. HAha no room? plenty of room homie. All dei accessories can be added to the compustar bro. just dont put to many add ons. heh
