2 subs at low power or 1 at moderate?

NOOB question, what would likely sound better.....2 10" Rockford P1's at low power(200-250 max is what is going to them now) or 1 10" P1 at moderate power(400-450 max). Before I reconfigure, just wanting some input. Just to clarify, I am struggling on where to put the power....to 2 10" subs or send it to 1 10" sub. JBLGTO-501 amp btw

two 10s with high sensitivity in a proper box. most of your money should go into the proper box imo
