Grilling is my Passion!!
Here is the setup and I am looking to see if I can do better than what I have. The setup sounds ok now, but as always the Holy Grail is out there somewhere.
I have two RF Punch HX2's (Dual VC 4 ohm) being run by a Kicker kx1200.1, wired down to 1 ohm. These are in a box that is about 2.75 cu feet FOR BOTH, which means since the subs like about 1.75 per sub, I am choking them a little bit, the box is slot ported.
This stuff is in a Dodge Durango, so the space behind the third row is somewhat limited.
My question is this, would I be better off to get rid of the dual subs and dual box with that Kicker and find a 12 in a single box that has the correct amount of cubic space inside and a different sub to be driven by the kx1200.1??
It sounds good now, but where I come from (back in the day Sonny) dual subs were where it was at, but now I see alot of people driving a single sub as their setup.
Opinions??
