They are 1600 watts RMS. Never rely on the max rating in car audio. It means squat. A useless number to you.
And the XXX subs don't require 1600 watts. They sound amazing anywhere from 1000-2000 watts. So with one Orion amp they will each get around 1250 watts. Unless you run it @ .5 ohms.
And I would say the XXX is near equal to the W7. Some will say it is better some say it is not as good. I consider it very close. But I prefer the sound of my XXX over a W7.
Maybe instead of two 2500's find two amps that produce 1500 watts. It will give you less stress on the electrical system.
