lol about the tape, it's just temp. The trunk is unfinished.... Haven't had time to make a flush cover for it yet. The cover will strech across the entire length of the box, it will be carpeted in the same color as the trunk carpet and hide the box and the gaps to the left and right of it. I also plan to make a false floor for the amp to flush mount it under plexiglass with a couple 80mm pc fans for cooling. I might flush mount the batter but it would require me to remove my spare tire. With the amp flush I can throw the Lexus rug over it and you wouldn't see a system in my trunk, it would just look like a smaller stock trunk.Any plans to make a beauty panel to enclose the box into the front of the trunk and mount/show off the amp? I really like the build, but being a lexus and the box having black tape are a little contradicting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif Although I'm sure you've got plans to tidy it up a bit
I was thinking about doing a false floor too to mount my amp and I was concerned about the heat buildup so I thought about computer fans. My question is, how would you wire those up? Would you just run a couple more remote 12V switch leads from the head unit that tells the amp to turn on? Does that put out enough current to run those fans? How are you going about doing that, I'd like to do that myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.giflol about the tape, it's just temp. For the 12v pc fans you can use the remote wire to tell them to turn on. They have (3) wire pc fans too.I was thinking about doing a false floor too to mount my amp and I was concerned about the heat buildup so I thought about computer fans. Oh, so by 3 wire, its a ground, a +12V source, and then another run of the remote wire to activate em?For the 12v pc fans you can use the remote wire to tell them to turn on. They have (3) wire pc fans too.
