My brother has 2 pioneer premier 10's but he thinks they are blown...the sub plays all bass he says and he hears no voices or something like that...the subs moves in and out like no other...i am no familar with pioneer subs..are the subs blown or is this normal for pioneers??..i mean they are dual voice coil subs...they are in a ported box..thanks

he's cutting it too high... set the subwoofer LPF to 60hz or something

if you think it's blown, disconnect the sub wires from the amplifier and measure it's resistance with a DMM... it should be more or less the impedance of the subs (it will depend on how you wired it too)... 4ohms will read something like 3,6ohms

Just so i am correct: Subs DO NOT play voices?? if this correct??
Let me be straight forward with you on this one... why the hell would a sub play "voice".... THE POINT of a subwoofer is to play the LOW end frequancys....so obviously NO it doesnt do voice... and if it does tell him to change his amp... cause even if his low pass was set at 80hz... it wouldnt be playing voice... so tell him to check alil bit more into it... and if he cant do it get it to someone who can before he does something worse.

okay i got it...i guess his are okay cause they play all low frequencies..all bass...i mean they are brand new...thanks for the help
