2 or 4 channel amp?

got a quick question for you guys. i'm going to put components in, do i need to use a four channel amp(1for mid and 1 for tweeter on each side) or a two channel amp. i don't know what speakers i will be using yet, but i will be using the crossovers that come with them. thanks for your help

Unless you are getting a real high-end comp set that can be biamped, you only need a 2 channel amp. The crossover that comes with the set will divide the frequencies to the drivers (mid and tweet) and provide outputs for each of them.

The 2 channel amp is fine for a set of comps using its passive xover. If you decide to go active you will need the 4 channel / or 2 - 2 channel amp.

thanks for the help. i probably won't be going "high end" because of the money factor, but any thing is better than blown spreakers. thanks again
