Hey,

I have a question since I don't understand what ohm means?

I have a 700w amp at 2 ohm, 550w at 4 ohm. I have a 400w speaker at 4 ohm. Can I use the amp at 2 ohm if my speaker is 400w at 4 ohm?

It depends how you're wiring something. If your speaker is wired at 4 ohm you will be getting 4 ohm power if you had a speaker that was wired 2 ohm you'd be getting 2 ohm power. It 's the ohms of the speakers that determine how much power you're going to be pulling from the amp.

from my begginer knowledge, ohms is the "resistance" going from amp to sub, at least i hope so i dont look dumb here
