hey guys so i am about to make the purchase of two 12" rockford fosgate P3SD subwoofers (i have a single cab truck) and im trying to figure out how i want to wire them, 2 ohms or 4 ohms. I prefer sound quality and for the subs to "hit hard" rather then power/loudness. Now as far as the amp selection, im thinking about going with the Rockford Fosgate P1000-1bd. This amps RMS is 500 watts x1 @ 2ohms and 250 watts x1 @ 4 ohms. Now is this saying i can only run two subs at 250 watts @ 2ohms?.. What i WANT to do is either run both my subs at 500 watts each @ 4 ohms or run both my subs at 400 watts each @ 2 ohms.. if you cant tell im so confused as to what to do. So basically what im asking is if i can run these two subwoofers with this amp at a 2 ohm or 4 ohm load, and if i can what kind of wattage can i get out of each sub. Finally will there be a HUGE difference in sound quality if i run these at 2 ohms or 4 ohms??
Thanks guys i appreciate any help and information.
