Are you kidding me man. The guy said that board clips where removed. AKa fets. And Im sure with that setup he has. He knows what fets are. And If he knew that then he knew what else was taken out removed broken. Should of stated more about what was wrong. There are a lot of amps on this forum that had blown fets and or blown output stage that can be simply repaired.I'm kind of on the sellers side on this one. The amps were stated as broken and he didnt know what was wrong with them. Seems to me that it would be the buyers responsibility to get a good look at the internals before purchasing a broken amp. For all we know the seller could have gotten these amps as they are and not known anything was missing at all. Buying a broken amp is a gamble, and the buyer took it and got burned. The way I see it a broken amp is AS-IS, even if its not stated as that in the thread or otherwise.
I'm not condoning the sellers actions in any way. But I feel that the buyer should have been more responsible and made sure of what was being purchased.
That was pretty much my point. And just having a nice setup doesnt mean you know anything about internals of an amplifier.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif I've been into car audio for a while and been on the forum for 4+ years and I couldnt open an amp and name components that were missing or broken (unless it was obvious). But if I had the money I could buy an impressive setup. Not saying the seller is right or didnt know what he was selling, but if I was buying a broken amp I'd want DETAILED pics and know exactly what I was getting in to before the purchase was made. And like I said, a broken amp should always be considered as AS-IS condition in my opinion. You buy a broken amp and cant get it fixed, you still got what you bought, a broken amp.Are you kidding me man. The guy said that board clips where removed. AKa fets. Now I am on no ones side. Both are to blame. Seller knew what was up. Buyer should of asked more questions and should of seen the signs all day long. Because this add had signs all day long that it was toooooo good toooo be true.
The amplifier turned on?get'em select! you should of bought my mojo 4kws when i had it up here for sale. lol the guy that bought it touched the remote wire to power and well you can guess what happened... lol
usually memphis will fix these amps for a flat rate of $350 each just FYI[/quote
I live in memphis and they will not touch the amp if the warrenty seal is broken and you got to have a receipt.
How much db-r say to fix it?
You know I never understood why they do that, I mean they can repair it and then tell the costumer since you are not the original owner there is no warrenty on the repair if the amp dies again, They can mark the board in away so that if the amp does come back in and someone tries to claim warrenty ect they can say sorry this amp is not valid for warrenty repair, repair costs will be charged.usually memphis will fix these amps for a flat rate of $350 each just FYI[/quote

Money is money they could charge anything and I am sure folks would pay to have their stuff fixed. That is if the amplifier is even able to be repaired.
