yeah i just ran across somebody on youtube with that exact setup and it seems nice. Only thought is what if thats not a big enough amp?

what do you mean if it's not a big enough amp? it's not going to hurt the subs if you are pushing to little power to them. the set up you decribed will work great don't worry about it

ok so I found a deal on 2 l7 12's but they are d4 so should i still use that kicker zx1500?

if you run two dual 4-ohm subs, then you will either get a 4 ohm load or 1 ohm load. the zx1500 is 2ohm stable. I would wait til you find a deal on dual 2-ohm models if you really want to run that amp.

OR you can go with the dual 4-ohms and pick up a 1-ohm stable amp like the Hifonics Bxi2008D http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12120_Hifonics+BXi+2008D.html or the bxi1608d

if you want to just use the zx1500 then i'd wait untill you find a pair of d2's. but if you don't care then just go with another amp thats stable at one ohm.

yeah i dont really care cause i dont know the difference so i think im just going to get these d4's and probably that hifonics amp manjo recomended. would a yellowtop optima under the hood be enough to run it or should i just keep the stock battery and put one in the trunk with the subs?
