2 l7's not what i expected

Loudness is in relation to the amplitude of a wave. Intensity is directly proportional to the amplitude...there for Intisity = loudness... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

When you start to venture past low 140's loudness increases become more tactile than audible. IE you feel more vibration and, if loud enough, more pain. the normal 10dB to double loduness is thrown out the window because each person has their own pain threashold and their own sensetivity to vibration.

It could be a cancelation problem but generally it would get quieter and SQ would go out the window if that where so. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

also if the sub you had in there was pretty well broken in, and you added a brand new sub, the suspensions are completely different now. You have one sub that is nice and loose that will move farther, and one sub that is new, that the suspension is still tight on, causing it to move less.

i had 2 02l7d4's in a 6 cube box tuned to 32 htz with just a directed 1100d going to them, and they wanged real hard.

i also experianced not much more output with 2 than 1, i blew one of mine and had just one for awhile, the diffrence wasn't that noticeable, it jsut sounded fuller with 2, like there was a little something behind. i dont know how to explain it. but it wasn't that big of a diffrence

i'd say give it a few days to work the new suspension in and you'll be fine

what? dont you think thats a little low considering the FS of a 12" L7 is 33.1 hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
Take a look : http://www.kicker.com/06/index-dom-low.html
u would be the 1 to post sumthin like that, lmao. ive said this plenty of times, who cares wha the specs say, real world buddy. sheet of paper only gives u an idea. i tune low and the l7s love it. u should kno better.

ok i finally got my car back from the shop and i had time to play with my system, heres what i noticed

where as before (with 1 l7) i would have to put it up to about 15/35 to start hearin bass i can put it up to 10/35 now to hear bass, but to get that quaking bass that overpower's everything i have to turn it up to 22-24/35 where as before i only had to put it to 20/35 , im pretty sure i can go up to about 24-25 before the headunit clips the signal but im to scared to go over 22 for fear of blowing my stuff

do you think me having to turn it higher to achieve the full performance is 'cuz of having less wattage going to each sub which means i can turn it higher without clipping it? the gains are actually set a little lower than they were with the 1 L7 because im to scurrred to turn it up , i assume @ 1 ohm i would have to set the gians lower than with 2 ohms or should i just go right ahead and turn that baby up? its just wierd because i cant tell when its clipping the signal just to much bass to hear the normal signs of clipping

edit- oh yea each sub is in 2.34 cubes ported @ 30 hz, yes i know pathetic box but its what i have //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
