2 Kicker CVX 12s or a 15"($300) on 1500 watts?

I can get my friend 2 Kicker CVX 12s for $200(New) but he is also willing to pay $300 for a sub(s).

Would the pair of CVXs do more work than say a FI Q 15 on 1500 watts?

I was going to put the CVXs in 4 cubes tuned to the low 30s.

What room do you have to work with? What 1500 watts what is your electrical like? Fi is a lot better sub then cvx. There are others in your price range as well such as audioque hdc3 so really depends on what kind of room and power you have. Hope this helps.

Ps I know a box that works very well for cvx so if you go that way I can tell you something that works but I would use a little better sub

Buy the CVX's and flip them for a profit. You should be able to make $100 off them easily.

Ummm, I would search some internet brands before going with Kicker.

PM ssackett and see what he could build you for $300. Im sure it would **** a CVX.

2 12" cvx will definately be louder than an fI 15 on 1500 watts almost double the cone on the same power. they are horrible subs but for 100 each well worth it if all you want is loud. do them in at least 5cf common chamber tuned at 35-38 so they peak hard at 45-55hz to get the added cabin gain.

FI BL would be more along that line of power, and i personally would pick a 15" BL over the 2 CVX

while im sure they could get equal in loudness, BL's put up some pretty decent numbers. while they may lose, im sure they would sound much better. and Cone area doesnt always mean that it is going to be louder.

I had a CVX, it was alright, got decently loud. Look at a DC LVL4, in your price range.

numbers dont mean anything at all for daily and bl are horrible for sq almost just as bad as cvx are lol. if you have 1000 watts on 226 sqin of cone vs 153 sqin the bigger cone area is usually louder especially if you are comparing with similar t/s or the same subs just dif sizes.

just cuz a sub does good in a fart box dont mean shit in the real world. hell a couple es series sony explodes did 155 in a fart box at 70 hz so? doesnt mean it sounds good or played music.
