am radio will not work

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS with everything stock and everything has been working fine, except the AM radio will not work. Any suggestions from the pros?

get up to date with the rest of the world. no one uses AM anymore, everyone uses SAT and FM.

I listen to the AM for football games and such when I'm driving. Not too sure on your problem though.

Yeah, yeah, AM sucks, I know, but this is a problem that no one can seem to solve for me. Everyone can comment on how AM sucks, but I doubt there will be any real answers out there to help me. None of the car audio repair places, including any affiliated with Mitsubishi can figure this one out. All I hear is we don't know.

Its probably the antenna ground. The ground is a necessity for AM reception.

The problem is that for any "real" AM reception, you're talking about an antenna larger than you'll practically fit on a car. When you say it doesn't work, do you just mean for daytime locals, or do the nighttime stations not come in as well?
