Man I want these, but have no amp to run them :/
They would wire down to 1.5?
Don't let the Ohms of these woofers discourage you, I have installed a few of these on 1 ohm stable amps and they do fine. I would definatly recommend a quality amp, if you're using these for SQ, but one good amp for a set of these is an Orion HCCA2500, they absolutly sounded great, anyone that comes to me wanting to maintain great sound that's the amp I push, it's a little bit pricey amp, but the watts are clean as hell, and for an sql set-up, this is my favorite amp. I'm sure a lot of you guys may like other amps, this is just the amp I try to sell for a set of these. There's others like the JBLgto14001, 24001, I also hooked 2 of these to 2 JL Slash 1000/1, out of all these amps the best one to maintain sq is the GTO14001, because it's a class ab monoblock. 2 ohm stable but works great with the 1.5 ohm load, and just 1 JL 1000/1 will do great sq, the others may get a little too loud to maintain true SQ, but all of these set-ups are fantastic for these subs. I mean look at JL W7's SVC 3 ohms, puts you in the same situation, but a lot of people put great sound systems together with these subs. The manufacturer trys to make it to where you have to buy their amps for these subs, but you don't, a good 1 ohm stable amp will work well with a 1.5 ohm load, this is all from my own experience, IMO

I just got a new car and need to downsize from my FI SP4 18". I've heard these are good SQ subs but have some questions. Do they do well in sealed enclosures? If so what size? What is their mounting depth? I have a Soundstream Rub1.2500 so it should be able to power them nicely.

Would you be willing to do a straight up trade for my 18" FI SP4?

I 'm sorry for the late reply, but I've been tied up on this site with some non-sense. I'm always interested in trading, but every 18" I've ever had just takes up room. I don't do well with them. Do you have anything else?

I wish I had something else, but unfortunately I don't. I have a Soundstream Rubicon 2500 but it's only worth half of what those two subs are so it wouldn't be a fair deal for you.
