I really wanted to go with two sa15s in my 03 svt focus hatchback but I've only got room to do about 6 cubes net with a slot port at 33 hz or I can get close to 7 cubes at 35 hz with a single 10 inch aero. That's using all my space. Will be throwing 2-2.5k RMS at em with electrical to back it up. Even though sundown calls for 3 cubes each and I'm throwing double RMS at them people in my other thread seem to think they won't do well in 6 cubes net with 15 sq inch of port per at 33 hz. So...
Anyways since ive been told this I'm starting to lean towards a couple ia lethal injection 12s. It well be the new 1000 RMS model. I wanna put them in 5 cubes net at 32 hz with 15-16 sq in of port per. They too will be on 2-2.5k with electrical to back it up. Anyone running the new lethal 12? I hear good things....do they move alot of air and get loud/hit lows well? I like them a lot. Another option is a single SSA zcon 15 also in 5 cubes at 32 hz with 15-16 sq in of port per as well. How would these setups compare? Pros and cons? It will also be running off 2-2.5k. 12s have the cone advantage and decent db rating of 86.4 and xmax of 23 mm but the zcon 15 has an xmax of 29 mm and spl of over 93 so it seems that would more than make up for the slight cone disadvantage right? How would the setups compare? Which would get louder? Sound better? Move more air? I listen to 75-80% rap when I am jamming music in the car but I also like to listen to rock hard rock and classic rock so I'd like it to sound good on that as well but ibreally wanna get loud and hit them lows good.
Another option is simply go with the sa12s in around 4 cubes at 32 hz....same power. This would be the least expensive option but how would it compare performance wise? My current setup is two p3 12s in 4 cubes at 35 hz on a t1000-1bdcp. My next amp is going to be an saz2500 or bc2k or the new scv2000 from sundown....a quality amp in the 2-2.5k range. I'm in the process of trying to land an saz2500. I want my next setup to be a noticable amount louder and hit the lows better and just sound better overall and I believe any of the mentioned setups will achieve this I just need help weighing out my options from people who know....preferably people who have ran the same or similar setups. Thanks in advance!
