2 I-Pipe 15"s off a AP1500 - Input please?

Theyre 260 for the pair. Was also looking at a crunch 1500 for around 140, does around 1200wrms to power the subs. Idk if the ap1500 will last on stock electrical, he said hes willing to spring for a good batt though.

Big 3 + stock batt + nice batt in back, you should be pretty OK with a stock electrical.

Btw for less than 260 a pair you could get a couple of Type-Rs instead of the APs and in IMO they are much better woofers.

Thought the r 15s were ~$350/pr?

The guy is upgrading from 2 cvr 12s on about 600w, so i wanna go a little bigger, the cvrs didnt get low enough for his liking, this time he wants to go sealed with some 15s that will dig low. These are the 3" coiled version, and they will be ran on 1200-1500w (not decided yet, gonna see if he wants to spend 25 more dollars on the ap1500) sealed about 2.5 cubes each. Should wang and sound good doing it.

Not enough room to go ported. Porting that low would dramatically reduce output uptop anyway IMO, he really liked the sound of some subs i had running sealed in the same airspace, they got realllll low. Later on down the road we might end up walling the car but for right now he just wants some more bump. Ill be posting a build log of it too.

Why not just get a nice single 15 and go ported?? Will be much louder than his CVRs and will prolli be louder than 2 lower quality 15s sealed. You should be able to find something new like a Type-R 15 or L7, but if u checked the classified you'll find plenty in the $260 price range that would fit the bill.

He specifically wants 2 15"s. I had almost talked him into doing a trunk sealed off wall with 2 18"s though...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Hes pretty set on these audiopipes, so im gonna get him what he wants. Will be a plain 5 cubes sealed box (gross) firing back, with amps mounted on an amp rack im gonna build, the trunk is pretty small and im going to have to assemble the box inside it, 5 cubes is pretty much pushing it for space.
