2 FI Q 15'' in sealed box

i'm looking to put my 2 FI Q 15 in a sealed box. the box will be on the large size of FI recommendations. A kicker zx2500 will be powering it. It will be in a h3 hummer. what numbers do you think I will be able to put up with these in a sealed box? not looking to compete.... just a ballpark # would be nice.. thanks.. think i could get in the 140s?

You're the idiot for not asking a correct question.

here's the actual "intelligent" post u seek.

What box size exactly? What electrical upgrades have u done? As in, batteries, alternator, wire, big 3... etc... How are you building your box? Is it a wall, is it rear facing, up facing, forward facing? What type of score? Outlaw, sealed at dash, windows up or down?

dont flame him man. it pretty much asked a open ended ?. he just wanted to know if it was possible.

The electrical will not be a problem, looking to run the biggest kinetik i can fit up front with a 2400 in the rear... will have a dc power alternator 240 amps that puts out 140 at idle, like i said, not looking to compete but just looking to be about as loud as a 140 system. and maybe the post could have been asking what my electrical is, instead of "9000". not here to e-argue. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

not trying to argue either but don't take a joke post seriously, lol. And since you took my joke seriously, i had to take ur question as serious as possible //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

yeah it was an open ended question, just seeing if it was a realistic goal, you have to forgive me, 8 months in Iraq with no pu$$y has me a little on edge //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif lol.

5-6 cubes sealed and youre set.
yeah I was looking at about 6 after displacement...

I just don't see why ported boxes are hailed as almight in spl... I read in a book that sealed is just as good.. i'll post the quote from the book in a moment and maybe some of you all can say that it is false info for one reason or another

well.. maybe since sealed boxes allow for more power handling, if you have the max rms for the sub, it wont really matter, but i guess if you have less power than ported would be better

I used to have a single 15"' Q in my escape a while back. I have tried it in a 2 ft^3 sealed box and a 4ft^3 ported box tuned to 32 hz. I don't know what the sealed box metered but the ported box hit 141.x sealed @ the dash on the TL. I do know that there was a BIG difference (in spl) to the ear between the sealed and ported box. Sound quality was very similar, although I think the sealed box had a little bit of a flatter response into the 55+hz range. That's getting to midbass territory though so as long as u have a decent front stage it doesnt really matter.
