2 DVC 4 ohm subs equals 2 ohm load??

OK So i know you cant get a 2 ohm load from 2 DVC 4 ohm subs. But if lets say the amp is rated at 1400 wrms (700x2 in stereo @ 2 ohms) and I wire each sub in parallel, each subs has now become 2 ohms, and I then wire one sub to one channel and the other to the other channel... How many watts will the amp put out and what ohm load is this?? Is it putting out 700wrms per channel?

But how so??? Everyone says there cant be a 2 ohm load made by 2 4 ohm DVC subs.... and the amp puts out that wattage at 2 ohms.... so how could it put out its rated power of 2 ohms but the subs cant be wired down to 2 ohms??

Because when you state it like that (two dvc 4's can't equal 2) it sounds like you mean when they're wired together on a mono amp. In that case, no, you can't get two ohms, but individually, obviously, they can be wired for two ohms.

BTW - if you're talking about a crunch amp or something similar, you won't get close to 1400w.

If you wire 2 DVC 4 ohm subs together on a mono amp what will the load be.

so if you wire each sub to 2 ohms and put one to each channel you got 2 ohm stereo? and if you wire each sub in series to 8 ohms and then in parallel into mono you have a 4 ohm load bridged? Is this correct? Also, which is the better option... 2 ohm stereo (2x700) or 4 ohm bridged (1400x1)??

Yes, yes, yes.

For subs - 4 ohms bridged would be slightly preferable over 2 ohms stereo.
