H.O. Alt or battery

I've been searching around because i know there are alot of topics on this but still figured I'd ask. Will be running a 2400 sub amp and a 600 watt component amp. I have a 99 explorer xlt 5.0 v8 all stock electrical. I dont know how many amps my stock alt puts out. I looked online and I cant get a for sure answer, I could have a 130 or a 95 amp. I plan on doing the big 3 in 0 gauge. Then I dont know if its worth to just save and get an alternator or go with like an hc2400. I really can only afford to get one of them at the moment and just wondering what people think I should get first. If I got the alt then I would be using that on just the 1 stock battery up front for a while, or if I got the 2400 I would put that in the back and keep the factory battery and alt. I'm assuming if I do have the 130 amp stock the battery would be the way to go for now??? Any input would be appreciated.

One of the older Directed 2400d like the one in the classified, 2400 at 2ohms powering two 18inch BL's and one of the Profile 600 cheapo's that says something like 100x2 at 4 ohm.

its always easier and cheaper to just do the big 3 or even just do the grounds like i did since i cant get to the alt..and i got a powermaster d5100r under the hood and d3400 in the back. ive got a aq 2200d and on a burp i think its drop from 14.3-14.4 to 13.3-13.4

Yea, its just if Im going to spend 250 bucks on a battery, it makes me wonder if I should just get an HO alternator

well you can get a deka 9a31 for like 150 or a little more i think

but i would recommend the powermaster d2400 which is $250

either way u r gonna need a battery in the back or something big upfront

so go ahead and get a big batt for the back and when u get the money for the alt u already have the batt

Well I dont want to, but Im thinking of getting a Kinetik HC 1800 and that was like 215. But its like if I only need to add another 100 bucks or so to get a HO alt, I'd consider doing that if that'd make more of a difference.

You'll need the battery to see any benefit at all from the alt. Start with the battery.

Thank you sounds good, so would the Kinetik 1800 do the job, along with the stock one up front, for now until I can get a HO alt and probably a better one up front.
