On a serious if you can get me some model # of what subs you plan on getting I will be able to tell you the perfect small box.

Yeaaaaaaa no....

As for the subs, well i am not 100%. My amp will doe 220 x 2 @ 2ohm or 120 x 2 @ 4. or 500 x 1 @ 4....

I like the REs, Assassins, Tang Bands....
(2) Tang Bang 8's would be sick in a long low ported rear firing box.

I'd make the box to fill the entire bottom kinda like this...

Yes that box is with the stock spare, I just sketched it out real fast, but it would be to exact measuments to fit in between the stock spare on the left and the right fender well.

Yes thats a big port //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif, to get those Tang Bang's pounding you want to have them in a ported box. I bet these two 8's will be 3 times as loud as your old 10" sub and they will hit the lows like crazy. I'm not sure what the exact port area is, but I'm guessing it's gonna be similar to that shown above.

I'd say it's about 28" WIDE x 25" DEEP x 9.5" TALL That would cover the entire bottom and give you room to mount your amp on either the right side of the box where the right fender well is or if your amp is only 9.5" tall you caould mount it on the back of the box where the rear seats are. Remember this box the subs and port are facing the rear hatch with about 4" of spacing between the box and the hatch.

Ok i am, dare i say it, a pre fab guy. I have never built a box, but know people that can help. Sorry for all the ?s....

It looks like the port is a "box" in side the box....???

How do you determine the freq?

Lets say that the box is 28"x26"x9.5" That would give you 3cuft of internal volume for (2) 8" Tang Bang's then you hafta take in to consideration how much space the port is going to take away from that.

30-34hz is a good choice for tuning.

This website will help give you an idea of wahts involved in designing a box...
