Just for reference of battery size. It's pretty heavy too. Old Orion XTR, never used it myself.

The 2 15"s in the ported box. Ne one got ne advice on how that might sound? Do the ports look about the right size? Now that I'm posting I wish I would have taken a few pics w/o the subs in it. Oh well.

Yes Forum Gods,

Next time i post it will b vids an pics of it running,

and i offer only the greatest sacrifice of /thread as an apology of not knowing net speak.

Ports seem pretty narrow. What size is the box and what's the tuning?

I can't believe you don't just install it yourself. Could be listening to it later tonight as it's not that much work.

PLENTY of pictorials on here showing everything you need to do.

Yeah, I know, i've heard how easy it will be an stuff, and read alot on how to do it.

But with this being my first install i'd be doing by myself I'm not sure I want to play around with 1000+ dollars of equipment its taken me forever to save up for.

I had a thread about should I do it myself or not, and the general attitude ppl gave me was that if id ont know enough, just learn until im comfortable with it.

See thats the problem w/ the box tho is im not sure what its tuned to, and the ports do seem small.

DOwn the road when I

A: Have More Money

B: More time off school + work

C: More Car Audio Know how

I will make my own box. I'm good at wood working, thats not the issue. But i just want this to sound good til i can do that.

An I mean I'm a noob, and I'm not sorry for that lol. I have the patience to learn is what is important, and thats why I'm on here everyday reading.

lol btw, someone just backed into the front of my car, so i have to get that fixed i get a new box.

Thanks to the ppl who have the patience to help me along the way. THe rest u need to remember what its like to be a noob. We all are at some point. An I kno theres gentle sarcasm in some remarks, and I dont mind that, but for the ppl who do help a big thanks is in order.

Make sure it's a good shop. After they install it check where they grounded it to make sure they sanded it down nice and shiny. Do you have a stock head unit, or an after market head unit?

i had both the xl-15d and the 3xl-15d both amazing subs in the right box. I would have a custom ported built for those it will make or break this sytem. 3xl-15ds are pretty **** loud daily driving subs imo.

Aftermarket HU, its nothing special, panasonic. Has a mp3 hook up is what i mainly bought it for to hook my ipod into.

Its cartunes, and they did my last install that I never had a problem with and they fixed it up for free when i ****ed it up once. Im just trying to not buy stuff from them considering the mark up. My front stage are all stock, but they sound pretty good, so I was hangin onto them for the time being. I will get a amp and some better speakers to upgrade all midbass and treble, after i get some other fixes that just became needed after a girl hit me.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif
