2-channel amp wiring help

Hello,

I bought a cadence zrs 1502 amp, 2 channel linear class ab. I was wanting this to power my front stage ( comps and tweets) but I'm not sure if I got the right amp.

The general options are :

4 ohm x 2x 150 watts rms

2 ohm x 2x 250 watts rms

4 ohm bridged x 1 x 500 watts rms

I was thinking i could hook each crossover to a channel. Is that correct?

I have 2 sets of rca: low level inputs and line outputs

I'm also not sure how to set certain settings. Ill elaborate on those if someone can get me through this first issue.

Thanks

Edit: Also my amp did not come with a birthsheet, I bought it new off of ebay, came in orgiinal packaging and sealed, came with bass remote control and wiring. SHould this raise any alarms?

well, when my comps arrive yes. On my amp the left channel is low level and the right is line outputs. Wouldn't this signify one channel is for subwoofer, hile the other is for x-overs specifically? I have multiple amp wiring diagrams n the manual that came with it but I didnt see a 2 channel x 4ohmx 2 spkr setup.. in the back of the manual it says this amp is 4 ohm x2 x 150 watts rms... I was thinking when i bought this the basic diagram I would have my comps and tweets connected to xover then both xovers to amp then run one rca cable up to my deck.

Also another questions about my kenwood, I had to set my gain higher after I put this deck in, previous scenario was stock deck with loc ( with settings all they way up). I set my gain to pull 45 amps.. Im running my re s e x at 4ohmx 510 watts.. it seems to be less powerful on my old setup. I have to crank the volume up past 3/4 to get desired bass, but Ik this is bad for my stock comps because they distort terribly.. ughhh am I not feeding enough power to my sub or what the hell? No dimming or any **** like that..

fyi my re is powered by seperate amp already installed, aq1200d. My sub is 2 ohm dvc so its either 4ohm impedance or 1 impedance.. One other variable which im not sure if it would affect my gain, I adjusted my subsonic feature because on my previous setup with stock hu and loc I had re in a sealed enclosure, now built an slot ported box ( 2.15 ft^3 at 32 hz) ... I dont think that has affect on the pull of amps with the adjustment of my gain..

I'm not familiar with Cadence amps, could you take a pic of the ends of the amp? have you RTFM? What components are you using?

A lot of amps will have an RCA pass through so you could take a second set of RCAs to from this amp to another amp. That is likely what the other set of RCAs is.

terminology may be a bit different, but for a 2 channel amp you'll have the power terminals, a pair of RCAs, and then you would take speaker wire from L to your xover for drivers side and from R to your passenger xover. Then from each xover to the proper speakers.

Thanks Brynm, Ill post pics of it tomorrow.. I believe you are right stating that one of the rca inputs is to hook up to another amp, I saw that as one option in my manual.. I have stock speakers in now, but I have ordered some Ma hk components. Thanks alot for responding! I was getting worried i purchased the wrong amp.

Yup, looks like the line outs are for adding another amp. Simple hook up then, just hook up power and then each xover to a channel.
Thanks man.. the manual made it more confusing.. Thats how i planned to do it initially but when I looked into the manual I was thought " oh poop, I got the wrong amp" haha. Since this amp is just for my tweets and components the dials for subsonic, bass focus( 0-7db), and bass eq ( 0 - 12db) should be at zero right? and my crossover mode should be at high pass or full range? I would think high pass then set crossover point at 80ish hz
