2 channel amp into 4??

just was wondering if it is possible to run a 2 channel amp to power 4 speakers?(front components and rear coaxials) I have a PPI PCX2200 and it is 200watts*2 at 4 ohm so was wondering if it is possible would that make it 100watts*4?? Sorry if this is a dumb question thanks

yes, it can power all 4, but will be a little stronger. Nothing to worry about. You just wont have the fade from front/rear.

becauseyou are effectively halving the load on the amp, but not to worry - each speaker will only receive half of the new higher power.

Your amp will be producing ~2x the power since it will be running stereo with 2 ohm loads instead of 4 ohms.
