2 Atomic 5000.1's and 1 DD 2512

Well I was bored the other day and had these amps laying around.....

And I had a BNIB DD 2512 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif So I built a small ported box out of 1" MDF Ported and tuned to 32 hz.....Well first experiment I put a single 5000.1 on the 2512....she handled it like a champ.....I was doing high 148's on a single 12. I thought not bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif....so then I decide to try and go ahead and break a 150 So I strapped the two 5000.1's together at 2 ohm mono...and here were the end results.....

Dayum thats some power. Any idea on what the coil looks like or is it jus the dustcap?

The voice coil was shot through the dust cap...It had some major heat issues...lol

the amps had plenty of current and everything was set so it was a clean signal.....I was running the 2 amps off this battery setup.....

Just a rough guess I'd say the sub was seeing about 8000rms......just a little over its rated power....

Awsome,if they would(idk if they do/will/can) offered 2500s with a composite cone I would def. be running 2 2515s.Very suprisingly LOUD.Wish I had that kinda power to play with.
