Howdy folks,
It is my intention to run (2) different sub channels from (2) different 5 channel amps (JL HD900/5's) to a single sub with dual 4ohm voice coils(TC Sound TC1000 15).
The signal will be a single RCA output from an Alpine PXA-H800...it has to be single RCA because I will also be using the 'center' channel RCA which leaves only (1) subwoofer output.
Anyways that RCA will be run through a 'Y' adapter and sent to the input of each amps sub-in. JL provides a handy voltage measuring method for setting gain...so the plan is to set each gain as close as I can to one another...I have (2) of the same model Fluke meters so I can try to match them in real time and as exact as possible.
Are there any issues with my plan? Anything I'm over-looking? The amps may not put out the exact same power...will a tiny variance in output between the coils cause any issues?
Thanks.
