2 AMP Installation Help (Subs arent working)

Hi, My setup is exactly like this (easier than typing it all out)

Now, everything is setup exactly, both amps are on, all car speakers are on via 4 channel amp. I just went to radio shack, grabed a 20ft Audio cable to run from the 2 sub output from headunit to my mono amp (Hifonics XX-ZEUS). And there the subs dont seems to be on. I have the subs wired parellel because the subs are way to weak for the amp.

(mtx 4channel amp, rockford 4ohm 400wat subs/box, hifonics xx-zeus 1600wat amp)

Please any suggestions or more info let me know

Theres one problem solved. They only thing i could tell you is check your rca cables and make sure your headunit doesn't have some setting to turn on the sub out.

You know, thats what i was thinking, but i've never seen that personally. I'll double check, anymore suggestions would be great. (its a sony headunit, 2yrs old, dont remmeber the exact model numbeR)

Sony CDX-GT500 is the head unit, i just checked the settings, didnt see anything for the subwoofer out on and off. (just the volume level which i playd around with, and nothing.

grab an ipod or an mp3 player and hook it up to the amp just to make sure that they amp is getting signal. If it works, its something in the headunit. If not its the amp

Amp got lights on it , On, Overload, Bad Signal. Everything is green, everything is connected correctly. I pluged in the subwoofers rca cables to the "(rear speaker outputs)" on the headunit just for shits n giggles, and subs are still not working.

Before i installed everything, i pluged in just the mono amp to see if subs will work correctly with the wireing setup i had, and the bass played just perfect (without car speakers/amp on).

Get a DMM, play a test tone, see what the output from the amp is. is the amp brand new?

Yeah i said i did that, i said i playd around with the subwoofer level nothing happened, i disconnected the car speakers rca cabels from 4 channel amp, connected to the amp to see if subs will play, and still nothing. This is irratatting me so bad.

Amp is used, but like i said earlier, i tested to see if it worked and the subs will play before i installed everything. Then after i installed everything, go figure, subs dont work.

Anything? Check your remote wire...sometimes the amp can appear to be on when getting 12volts but gets no remote signal so it's not really on.

ok, so maybe hooking it up the second time something happened. put a DMM to it.
