2 AMP Installation Help (Subs arent working)

ok, so maybe hooking it up the second time something happened. put a DMM to it.

DMM? Digital Meter whatknot? i dont have that. But listen, i disconnected the Hifonics mono amp. Reconnected the subs to the MTX 4chan amp (disconnected the rear car speakers). Conneccted the "SUBOUT RCA CABLES" to the rear car speakers input on the amp. So that works. Subs work. But when i went to mess with the headunit again, i found this option "Local On, Mono On, Mono off". Would that cause my mono amp to be off? I also dont have a capacitator as shown in the diagram. Also checked remote wire (which is split off and electrical taped from the other amp) It that seems to be okay, good and tight connections.

Any more input would be awesome, Thanks guys.

local on mono on mono off sounds like an fm radio setting. Don't you have a manual?

Not for a 2 year old headunit, i didnt throw it away, just prolly in a box somewhere. I tried downloading the manual off xplodsony but its PW protected for some reason. (it might be FM setting)

are you sure you are getting a good speaker wire connection inside the box? the box is a prefab right?

If you go to sony.com and then search I'm sure you will find it. Don't know why it would be pw protected.

I went there, downloaded 2 different versions from 2 different sites, i try loading it in my pdf reader, says "PW protected". which is odd, but owell. I dont think it's the headunit, its works perfect.

I bought a sony cd player, the next day the diodes went on my rca's in the amp. Probably the amp.

hey im the one who sold him the amp. theres a button on it master/slave if its pushed it u wont here sh!t check that its on the left side
