OP: I'd go with the Skars. Pick up a pair used off the forums to save some money, you won't be disappointed. Don't worry about "unequal break-in," you're not likely to hear any differences. If you foresee an amp upgrade in your future though, go with the SA-12's. Pretty much what everyone else said lol.
