2 8s or 1 12

My friend has a very small power setup going into a sealed enclosure. I can either bridge the amp for 200 watts on a single Skar IX-12 or get 2 Skar-IX 8s on ~100rms each. The amp is a 2 channel. He wants sealed, so don't change and I know that 1 12 has more cone area but I would like to know if there are any advantages to the 2 8s.
