2,500 watts to pay with...What 18?

I have a Memphis 2500.1 that puts out 2500 @ 1 ohm, and I'm selling my 3 Type R 12's and I'm thinking about going with a singe 18, I see that the FI BTL brand new is only $424, I'm thinking about going with it, but what are some more suggestions as far as 18's that I should also consider

Theoretically yes, but I'm not liking the sound of the Type R's, and I have done almost every setup but has never done an 18inch setup. The space i'm working with is kind of tight for 3 12's anyways so I figured Ill just try 1 18 and see how it sounds. 1 18 would give me more cone area than 2 12's so it should still be decently as loud as the 3 12's
