2 4ohm DVC Sub Trouble ):

I just recently purchased an amp and 2 subs for my car. (Along with a headunit) I got 2 alpine type-R's, 4ohm, DVC. The amp i got (ZRS-3002 - Cadence 1200 Watt 2 Ch Competition Amplifier). I'm trying to run it at the "2 Ohm RMS Power: 2 x 530 Watts" option. Would this http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2DVC_4-ohm_2ch.jpg be the correct way to wire the subs? I actually have mine wired together, + & + and - & - (the DVC's) to the back of my enclosure, and then into the amps 2 channels. Does that work the same? The reason I post this is because I just got done fully installing it and i started my car and the subs didn't seem to turn on at all, i'm extremely new to the entire audio field but i've researched fairly a lot. Any help is greatly appriciated :)

Thats the correct wiring

Is the amp turning on?

Does your headunit have a sub out? Is it turned all the way up?

Have you messed with the gains on the amp? How about the filters?

Are you sure the subs are wired IN Phase correctly to the amp?
