2 - 2channel amps ok?

I will be running a set of components up front and one in the back. Is there any reason I can't use (2) 2 channel amps instead of a 4 channel amp? I thought this would be a good idea since I could do some fun fiberglass stuff with 2 identical amps. Any downside to using 2?

If it's what you want to do and there is a valid reason to do so (such as your planned install with a pair of matching units) then go fir it!

The only real downside I can think of would be the necessity for more wiring to install two amps as opposed to two but other than that minor irritant I can't see any reason not to assuming you have the space for a pair of 2-channels over a single 4-channel.
