so, let's get straight to business.

i want 2 component sets up front powerd by a fosgate 550x

'rated' @

65 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms

137.5 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms

275 watts RMS x 2 in bridged mode at 4 ohms

2-, 3-, or 4-channel output

from what i hear this amp is easily underrated by 200+watts

my budget will be.. $250 a set, so $500 for the speakers all together.

i listen to rap, i love loud but not piercing treble (ie; infinity) i want a smooth soft tweeter, with decent midrange/bass.

The tweeters would be a perfect match to the kind of sound you described liking.

They're around $240 on ebay.
