2 15s

To be honest, you are doing everything wrong if you think cone area is the answer to getting louder while having to regards to proper enclosure specs. If anything you'll lose a ton of output compared to what you have right now if you tried the two 15s. You might gain more with 4 10s which I think will be your loudest option.
Hmm.. But if we're comparing the same sub, isn't 2 15's just as loud as 4 10's? If not louder? I know cone area isn't everything but OP is limited on space. That seems to be the #1 concern without having the feeling of "downgrading" from a 18" and of course price is a concern. According to the cone area chart, 2 15's HO should be just as loud as my 4 10's HO no?

I just dont like giving 15s in that small of a space, especially if he's going for lows

Huh funny.....running 4 10's now about to switch to 2 15's soon.....very soon.

Something said that these should be louder than that is simply irrelevant. Back in the days 2 12's equaled a single 15, 4 10's was the equivalant to 2 12's, etc.

With so many more powerful rms rated subs and amps we have today on the market, there's really no comparison. It really depends upon the vehicle, box, wattage and electrical.

1.375 cubes per 10 sounds more reasonable than 2.75 cubes per 15. Heck even 2.75 cubes per beefy 12 should work fine. Keep in mind, OP doesnt sound like he's gonna change box specs.

2 12 inch Zcons or 1 zcon 15 would thrive in your box. Its not about cone area, its about getting your subs loud via the enclosure. Space makes bass, if you lose sight of that, you arent maximizing your sub's potential and all that cone area is just wasted.

So you think 2 12s would do better than what I have now? Like 2 Sundown X's or sometihng like that? I don't want to replace to box - was just going to rebaffle it.

Let's put it this way, I have a song that I can send you guys a link to later that I absolutely love the bass on. I don't really think it's really lows as much as I think there are - I had a box tuned to 34 and loved it. So low's are needed if I am thinking the wrong thing.

Dayton HOs would be fine in that. There are other subs as well that would be fine in that.
It'd be more like 5.3 because of another woofer displacement. I guess I don't really need big boxes for lows, I have only have 2 custom boxes and both have been too small for the sub (AB XFL 15 at 3.5 cubes and SKar ZVX 18 at 5.5 cubes) and they seem fine for me. Just making higher tuning.

So basically you are not hitting some notes you want to hit. Tell me the song right at the specific part and i'll tell you what frequency you are missing.

Nah, I am saying that there is a song that I love the note of. I can't find the online file of it but I have it on my computer.

And no, I am hitting some notes, but I know if I tuned a little higher, I would hit the ones I like better.

Put it up on audacity and know exactly what you want to hit rather than guessing bro.
