again thank you for stating the obvious i know my car doesn't have the biggest of trunk but being able to fit a 8.5cubic enclosure in there should make for a decent enough spl setup.

But you don't have 8.5 cube, with the max dimensions you mentioned(17x36x29) the most you have is 8.05 cube before displacement.

to get 8 cube net tuned to 35hz with 128 in^2 port you will need at least 10.5 cube gross, if you want double baffle and good support probably 10.7.

I have an altima and am putting to 15's forward facing. Just started the box subs should be here tomorrow,

what does your trunk and rear deack look like, are opposed to cutting none supporting sheet metal?

what subs are you using, there are lots of options, but you are not getting 8.5 cubes. with the dimensions you mentioned.

I will post the log after I do the box install this weekend, I already have the metal cut out, but here is what gave me the idea,

wow that car has a ton of room! ya those numbers i gave you are max and i see your point very clearly now. and i not going to waste my time playing with 15 in my car as i have no room and i am currently looking into the cost to recone to a pair of 12's!

pair of 12's will do you good...even a trio of 12's, or maybe four 10's will look good as well...you'll need about 6ft^3 for a trio of 12's and 5-6ft^3 for four 10's.
