2 15" Alpine Type R Box / Amp help please

no....too expensive and not enought power. I would think a Kicker 2500 at 2 ohms is a good bet
Well the price is actually not bad at all, I can get one for around 300 with his discount, he is a pretty close friend of mine, still not worth it due to lack of power?

Wouldn't the Kicker zx 2500 overpower?

no the Type R's can take it.
What repercussions would I have to take if I decided to go with this amp, I feel like it's a little much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I am not questioning your knowledge at all, I am the one in search of an answer after all. But to me a 2500 wrms amp to 1500 wrms subs would be dangerous

*** Edit What about the Kicker zx 1500?

those subs can take 1000rms each all day long. if you like the looks of the pdx line get a pair of them, one to each sub. if you are still paranoid about power you can always set your gains ultra conservative.

I actually have a lot of experience with this sub.....trust me, if you give it under or what you believe to be around the RMS rating...you probably will want more. These subs really can take it and do it well. Besides, 2500 watts rms from an amp is not really realized in a daily application. Music varies greatly in its amplitude (right word?) and in reality you will probably be serving it barely more than the 1500 the subs are rated at while playing music for daily driving.

Do you know of a website where I can look at these? (One at the lowest price preferably)

Thank you for all of your help too by the way, it's greatly appreciated

What would you guys think about an Alpine pdx 1.1000? I was recommended this amp by a local car audio store.
I bet it was "HIGHLY recomended" and twice or three times the price of the AQ - LOL they sell that amp of course its gonna be "perfect"

You want twice the power they are recommending to you- Just ask them if they make a 2K+ amp from alpine that will shut them up -
